The head of state traveled to meet with Ukrainian forces in the Pokrovsk area on the weekday. Zelenskyy announced that he met with soldiers at the military base of the initial brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine Azov, which is leading defense efforts in the Dobropillya area, a location approximately 12 miles from the city.

Volatile Situation in the Area

Updated analysis from a local initiative showed that invading troops had pushed further into Pokrovsk and nearby locations, though significant areas was not fully held by either side. The situation remains critical, with accounts indicating that opposition troops were digging in and enhancing fortifications in certain areas.

Russian forces continue to advance in the Pokrovsk direction and seem to be functioning with enhanced confidence within Pokrovsk itself.
