In the course of a public appearance to Lichfield Cathedral on the start of the week, King Charles was shouted at by a individual who questioned him about Prince Andrew's relationship with convicted sex offender Epstein.

The individual asked how long the monarch had been known about his brother's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, and also questioned whether he had instructed the authorities to "conceal" for Andrew.

Amid the heckling, there were large groups of fans and applause for the King, who was in the region for an ceremony.

The Duke of York's associations with Jeffrey Epstein have been under intense scrutiny in the past few weeks. The royal, who relinquished his royal duties earlier this month, has repeatedly denied any misconduct.

"For how long have you been aware about Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein? Have you asked the authorities to conceal for Andrew?"

The King ignored the questions but carried on greeting fans, some of whom chanted "God Save The King". One fan can be overheard asking him for a hug.

Another woman outside the cathedral was also observed telling the heckler to "leave" and to "shut up".

Controversy Revived by Posthumous Publication

The controversy over the Duke of York's connections to Jeffrey Epstein has been reignited by misconduct allegations detailed in Virginia Giuffre's posthumously-published memoir.

In the publication, the accuser alleges she had sex with the prince on three separate occasions, including one instance with Epstein and "several other minors"

Andrew, who agreed to a financial settlement with Ms Giuffre in recent years, has repeatedly denied any misconduct. In a previous interview, he told BBC Newsnight he did not remember meeting Ms Giuffre "ever", and that they "never had any sort of intimate relations."

Fresh Questions Over Lifestyle and Living Arrangements

But recently, fresh questions have been raised about how he is able to finance his lifestyle despite not being a working royal.

The disclosure that he has only ever paid a nominal fee on his Royal Lodge has intensified the examination over his housing situation - even though he made large payments up front, including for improvements.

The political party said he should be called in front of MPs to give evidence about his rental agreement of his lodge.

But last Thursday, the government refused to give parliamentarians time to debate the royal's status or his home, despite increasing calls for investigation.

The royal household has not issued a statement on whether the Duke of York might relocate of his current residence - or where he might go.
